Let Summer Be What It Is
Worthyest

Good morning. It’s Thursday.
As the week edges toward a holiday, time takes on that slightly warped summer quality. It’s both speeding up and slowing down, depending on how you look at it.
There won’t be a newsletter tomorrow. We’re taking July 4th off and returning Monday. But before we step away, a small reflection to carry into the long weekend:
Not everything in life requires optimizing.
Some things are allowed to be simple, temporary, and quietly satisfying.
Today’s note is a short meditation on summer’s softer edges. The kind of moments that ask nothing of you except to notice them. No lesson, no achievement. Just presence. And perhaps a second popsicle.
Let Summer Be What It Is
Summer doesn’t ask much.
You’re allowed to sit in the shade and think about nothing. You can lose track of time without apologizing. You can have a second popsicle and call it dinner.
This is the season where your hair’s a little wild, your plans are loose, and your brain finally goes soft around the edges.
“Some moments aren’t meant to be remembered. They’re meant to be lived, then melted like the ice in your glass.”
Nothing life-changing. Just good air. Music from someone else’s window. A strange but perfect breeze that makes you forget what you were worrying about.
You don’t have to explain your joy. You don’t have to capture it.
Just notice it. That’s more than enough.
Have a great weekend.

Today’s Insight: The Body’s Clock
Your Internal Clock Is Reset by Light
Natural light is the strongest signal for your circadian rhythm. Brief morning exposure or even 15 minutes before waking realigns your internal clock, while screens and extended indoor lighting delay sleep signals and distort your sense of time.
