When the Mind Gets Too Much Free Time
Good Morning.
The mind can turn a maybe into a crisis if you give it enough idle time.
Uncertainty has a way of expanding when it sits too long in an empty room. A delayed reply becomes a story. A small doubt becomes a forecast. A question with no answer starts collecting imagined consequences.
Often the issue is not the maybe itself. It’s the amount of unguarded time we give it.
The mind dislikes loose ends and will sometimes fill gaps with fear, drama, or worst-case logic just to create a sense of certainty. It would rather invent an answer than tolerate not knowing.
This is why movement can be medicine. A task. A walk. A conversation. Sleep. Anything that returns you to what is real instead of what is possible.
Not every maybe deserves center stage. Some only become crises after too much rehearsal.
Have a great weekend.
